Supporting Colombian Artisans

In the month of September, all sales of Tulia's Artisan Gallery items will have 15% directly donated to the Maach Den Foundation, a Colombian nonprofit working with the Wounaan community on the ground. (In additional to your purchase already supporting these fair trade artisans and their beautiful work!)

Tulia’s Artisan Gallery works with artisans around Chocó, Colombia who were affected by the recent Colombian earthquake. The Wounaan Nonam community, who make their TAVWE collection of woven earrings, bracelets, and rings, are award-winning basket weavers.

The same lead artisans Tulia’s works with also run a Colombian non-profit called the Maach Den Foundation. They have boots on the ground in both Bogota and Chocó and helped coordinate logistics and distribute donations to the different villages. Current fundraising will be ongoing to focus on health and rebuilding.
